- You feel like stretching. Stretching is actually a precursor to the want to exercise. But most people fall short of doing the full course as they are accustomed to the quickie. Remedy: Remember the pep talk techniques from a previous post? For at least 5 sessions, use cue words like ‘run!’ or ’swim!’ when you consciously do a simple stretch or a stretch regime. Here comes the hard part, do what you have told yourself to do in the cue words. Trust me that this works. After a few sessions you will feel awkward not pleasing your inner desire.
- You like your Wii Sports. So, playing Wii sports games make you feel like a pro. Well, at least to the paper thin audiences. Why not try the new thing? I am sure if you can do so well in the bowling or golf game, you can excel in the real thing. C’mon, trust the game’s accuracy! Be a real amateur : Playing those virtual games already makes you technically superior than a greenhorn. Now you just need to be physically superior. Pick up a sport that you enjoyed in games. See if the sport is taught in your area. If not, suggest to meet up those in the game forum near you to organise a casual weekend sports outing.
- You are waiting with bated breathe for the release of Wii Fit. Finally, something fun for exercise! Well, at least after May this year. I have seen the Wii Fit preview. It really blows my mine away! This sacred game should be in every household who cares enough on leading a healthy lifestyle. It’s what we advocates here: Losing weight, the fun way. Don’t just wait: Instead of waiting for Wii Fit to hit the shelves, you can anticipate by signing up for a yoga or step aerobics class at your nearby fitness centre. But I still tried to run through the pain last night. I tell you, it’s the best decision I have taken for the past 2 weeks. It really spurred me on to want to run and swim more. I felt so strong after the run not because it’s easily done, but because I am so proud I made the right decision and threw away the procrastination. Easier said than done, but that’s the whole point.
